Hi! I'm Alexander McKeown

I commenced my studies in Computer Science at the University Of Wollongong. During the final phase of my studies, I worked for a year at a startup as a Software Engineer, where I gained hands-on experience with AWS and React.

Since then, I have transitioned into the field of cybersecurity, where I have accumulated nearly three years of experience in security operations within managed and professional services. My expertise spans vulnerability scanning, security monitoring, incident investigation, response, and reporting. I am proficient in using industry-leading tools such as Splunk, AWS, CrowdStrike, and several Trend Micro Products.

Outside of Work I have several hobbies such as soldering, HackerBox and mucking around with RFID, NFC tags and radio. Outside the realm of Security hobbies I'm very interested in the development of distributed ledger technology, InterPlanetary File Systems (IPFS) and Artificial Intelligence and I am keenly interested in their impact on society.
